'shitty ass' alley-cross article

brian davies' epic 'alley-cross' races got a write up in the chronicle this week. quoteables everywhere!

brian says:
"No matter how shitty-ass the conditions, the guys are stoked!"

"Let's be realistic. It's just a bunch of knuckleheads riding bikes in the middle of the night. Anyone who takes this seriously should find another race, 'cause they'll probably be racing a drunk guy on a cruiser."

"If you look at these guys, I guess you could say we're renegading it. But I try not to make it too illegal. I figure if we do it after dark, we don't have to worry about running over somebody's baby."

maca premier pic

i've been looking and asking and so far i can only find this one. it was fun. we had a lot of people show up for the music, the race, and the premier (somewhere around 180 people.) allen zip-tied me to my chair and sterling pointed out all the scenes where he thought they sped up the tape. i just told him they were going really fast.
